Yes toddlers can get vaginal yeast infection.  They look similar to adult yeast infections or may look like a terrible diaper rash that has spread. It is important to take your toddler to a doctor to get it checked right away.It could also be a bacterial infection.

Some doctors may prescribe antibiotics-just be careful not to over do these.Antibiotics are often the cause of yeast infections.

Once you treat the yeast infection, be sure to change the toddlers diaper frequently when it’s wet so that the moisture does not contribute to recurring yeast infections. Yeast loves moisture! Yeast infections can sometimes can be caused by wet diapers. However, antibiotics are the most frequent culprit.
